Curriculum

The Curriculum lays particular emphasis on the development of the creative potential of each individual. It is based on the principle that education must develop not only cognitive capacities – both the ‘foundational capacities ’of literacy and numeracy and ‘higher-order’ cognitive capacities, such as critical thinking and problem solving – but also social, ethical, and emotional capacities and dispositions.

The entire learning programme of each student is divided into three phases. Each phase requires focus on certain areas and hence has its own philosophy and methodology that follows through it.

Class I to V

Being Gentle and Considerate

Keeping this in mind, utmost care has gone into making the  curriculum  flexible to serve for the needs of young developing minds. It offers crafted activity based programme for development of cognitive skills as well as motor skills in them Classrooms are furnished with customized furniture, bright visuals, display boards and a wide array of Educational Games and Equipment, in fact everything to beguile the little learners. The teachers gently lead the children from the known to the unknown through an interesting session of Interactive learning process.

Classes VI to VIII

Being Able to Explore and Experiment

This is the next stage of the ladder of learning. There is a tinkle of excitement and activity in the air. The Thematic Inter-disciplinary approach has been adopted at this level. The curriculum encourages children to explore their interests, as they move concentrically from the known to the unknown. It lays the foundation for the High School Academic program. Study skills are honed, concepts taught are thoroughly grounded – group work and interaction with classmates cater to growing social awareness.

Classes IX to XII

Being Self-confident, Independent and Socially Aware

Ingenuity and commitment to work are encouraged. Induction into the House system helps them to build rapport, team spirit and trustworthiness. Use of the well stacked library for project work, enhances habits of self-study. The spectrum of co-curricular activities give room for talent to nurture and groom in Dramatics, Music, Art, Dance, Games and Sports. Each student’s talent is channelized in a range of hobby clubs. The aim lies in empowering the students with knowledge so as to develop a positive approach for life in them and equipping to overcome the challenges of life with dignity.

To sum up, the school’s integrated approach for learning is being reflected in the form of its students, playing the role of responsible global citizens who are contributing constructively to the world around.
